Code & Violations

How Code Enforcement Violations Work In Florida

In general, upon finding a code violation, the Code Enforcement Board is required to provide the property owner a reasonable amount of time to correct the violation. If the violation is not corrected, the enforcement board can order a violation against the property owner (respondent) and can impose daily fines per violation! Until the violation is corrected, these fines become a lien against the real property on which the violation occurred. Until the fines are paid, the lien stays on the property.

We may be able to assist you getting rid of your code violations and fines.

We understand how much pressure and aggravation these problems with the Code Enforcement Board may be causing you. We have helped many individuals and homeowners in your situation, and we offer a free consultation to review the details of your case or violation.

Absolutely! Financing is widely available for construction projects. There are many options to explore, so you can find the best fit for your needs.

The exact length of your construction project depends on several factors. The complexity of the design plays a big role, with intricate features or custom elements adding time. If there are unexpected delays in getting what you need, it can push back the completion date. Permitting timelines can vary depending on your location and the scope of work. Weather conditions can also impact progress. Construction may slow down or even halt during periods of severe weather. When discussing your project with a professional, be sure to ask about their experience with similar projects and how these factors might influence the overall timeline.

In most cases, homeowners talk to an architect first. Although architects can turn your vision into reality, and they are not typically budget conscious. An architect goal is to draw what you want, not what you can afford. A General Contractor comes in later to execute the Architect's plans. So, if the plans are drawn before you reach out to the contractor it could set a homeowner back. Get a General contractor first to help you create the vision within your budget. Then the architect can work with the contractor to make your vision into a reality AND within budget!
